Empathy

Sometimes people feel like they aren’t good enough

Especially when things go south

It’s true that everyone has blindspot

A place where shortcomings are living

Then they start to hate themselves for who they are

We can’t expect people to be happy all the time

Most certainly not

The moment when they are shaken down by something

Suffered a loss

Badly hurt

We are humans

Each of us has problem

Even if they don’t tell us about the battle they are going through

That’s the major reason we should have empathy

In order to understand each other

Some people may think that empathy makes them vulnerable

Makes them look weak

The truth is it’s a definite no

It’s part of being human and won’t make us less valuable

That’s the beauty of it

Empathy doesn’t require the need to change people

Because we can’t change people unless they want to

We don’t have to be problem solvers for their problems

We don’t have to be great motivators

We don’t have to act as if we’ve been down that road before

Because the key is to make people feel supported in their feelings

How we choose our response towards the situations they have as appropriate

To make them believe that they are worth loving

Feel accepted

And in the end they are gonna realize that the only way to get through those feelings is to get through it

Empathy begins when we put ourselves in their shoes

And to understand people is to listen first

Actually, most of the time we just need someone who listen

Being a good listener is how empathy works

Be that person
